Pastor Clark came to us in the summer of 2016 after serving the past 10 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walden, NY. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 2002, and served 4 years at St. Luke’s Lutheran in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin prior to his time in NY. Pastor Clark and his wife Katherine have four children: Hope Katherine, Anastasia, Josiah, and Joshua.
Emeritus Pastor Dave Taylor serves at St. John’s with his wife
Linda. Dave retired from an engineering career in Alaska and Washington,
graduated seminary, and is known as a “tentmaker” (self-supporting)
minister. He previously pastored churches at Fall City, WA, and
Howard Lake, MN, and also had chaplain duties at the Tacoma Seafarer’s
Reverend Norm Hanan, and wife Mary, have lived and served in and around Buffalo. Pastor Hanan served as the pastor at Fair Haven, MN, and then as the interim pastor at our sister congregation in Silver Creek during its vacancy. As a retired clergy, Pastor Hanan joins the St. John’s family as a visitation pastor and will be assisting in reaching those who are home-bound or shut-in.
In her ninth year now at St. Johns, Kelly works in the area of ministry for which she was trained and is most passionate: Children and Family Ministry. Her ability to plan and organize events that encourage spiritual growth for children and families is what makes her such an asset to the St. Johns team. Kelly is also the Director of Noah’s Ark Preschool, which is located in our church building.
She and her husband, Eric, have a son, Bennett, and a new baby girl, Emily.
Chris first came to St. John’s on a one-year internship through Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. After he completed his degree and internship, St. John’s called him to be our Director of Youth Ministries. He has made a positive impact on our youth through his humor, teaching, love for sports, and Bible knowledge. Chris and his wife, Catherine, live in Buffalo.
His favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Beth has been a resident of Buffalo all her life. She attended Northwestern College in Roseville, MN where she majored in Bible and Education. Beth and her husband Russ have three children. When Beth isn’t in the office, she teaches piano out of her home, leads contemporary worship music, and enjoys time in her garden, on walks, traveling, and playing the piano. Beth is in the office Wednesday mornings, Thursdays, and Fridays.
