Teaching experience/ credentials: I graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with a degree in Early Childhood Education.   I landed my first teaching job teaching Kindergarten in a remote Eskimo village in Alaska with my new husband. After three years we moved back to Minnesota where I taught Extended Day Kindergarten in Montrose for one year. I also taught Kindergarten for a year in Big Lake before I became a stay at home mom. I taught at Noah's Ark Preschool for 5 years before recently becoming the director. 

Tell us a little about you… My husband Ben and I have been married for 15 years. We have three girls, Ruby-11, Stella-9, Millie-7, and our dog, Sadie! We live in Buffalo and you can typically find us playing outside, camping, or swimming at the beach in the summer. We love being together and being with friends!

My Favorite part of Noah’s Ark: All 3 of our daughters attended Noah's Ark. I love the Christ filled atmosphere that Noah’s Ark holds. I have loved knowing that I’m sending my kids to a school that models Jesus’ big love so well. God is so good and I’m so excited to carry that legacy on of showing Gods love to Preschoolers!

My favorite Bible verse:  Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer."

I graduated from Rasmussen College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. While I was in school, I worked at Discovery Kids which is the Early Learning Center for Orono Public Schools. After I graduated, I took a job at Delano Public Schools in their Early Childhood Sped department. After having two daughters, I opened my own in-home daycare. I have now been at Noah's Ark Preschool as a lead teacher for three years and I feel so blessed to be apart of this community! 
Tell us a little about you… I have been married to my wonderful husband, Steve, for 14 years and God has blessed us with three amazing girls; Dorothy (11), Lydia (8), and Maisie (6). As a family, we love to go camping in the summer and spend as much time with our extended family as we are able to. When I am not running my girls around to their activities, I enjoy reading, crocheting, spending time in my gardens, and being outdoors.

My Favorite part of working with preschool: My favorite part of working with preschool age groups is their willingness and eagerness to want to learn, play, and explore. As their teacher, I get to witness their growth and development throughout the year and it is exciting for me to get to be a part of that. I truly love teaching in a Christ centered program and helping children know how much they are loved by Jesus Christ!

My favorite Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”

- 15 years experience working with children and young adults with disabilities and special needs 

Tell us a little about you…  My husband Chris and I have been married for 9 years and been living in Buffalo for the past four years! We couldn’t be happier to be raising our girls here! Josie is in kindergarten this year and Lilly will be in the 3/4s class this year with me! My passion for kids and all things teaching started in high school and I have had extensive experience teaching kids of all ability levels (special ed and behavioral therapy included) in various settings! I feel so humbled that God has called to me help shepherd His littlest children towards him and our Savior Jesus! As a family we love to spend as much timing outdoors enjoying God’s creation. We have a goal to visit all 63 national parks! This summer we were able to cross five national parks off the list! 

My Favorite part of working with preschool:  My favorite part of working with preschool age groups is their sincere and honest hearts! They have such an innocence and a faith that many adults strive to have! They are so excited to learn and try new things. 

My favorite Bible verse: Psalm 77:11-12  "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

– Ran the Student Support Room for Wright Academy at Wright Tech in Buffalo.
– Teachers Aid for Noah’s Ark Preschool for 5 years.

Tell us a little about you… I was born and raised in Buffalo, Mn where I have been a member of St John’s my entire life.  I have been married to my husband Steve for over 20 years and we have 3 children and 2 beautiful granddaughter’s.  About 5 years ago we made the move to Albertville.  In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends.  Just recently my husband and I became owners of some property up north on a lake where we spend most of our weekends relaxing and fishing.  I love to go to the movies, sing, play games and to hang out with my family.

My Favorite part of Noah’s Ark:  I truly love getting to share the love of Jesus with the kids!  I love the pure excitement in the preschooler’s faces and conversations.  Everyday there is something new and special to experience through their eyes.  I feel so blessed to be a part of this preschool!

My favorite Bible verse: Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid or discouraged.  For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Teaching bio: After nine years as a stay at home mom, I began teaching preschool at Gethsemane Lutheran School in Maplewood, MN. I spent seventeen years at Gethsemane Early Learning Center. Through the years, I worked as an aide, assistant, lead teacher, assistant director, and director. In 2022, my husband and I moved to Buffalo, and I retired. That didn't last long, and I found my way to Noah's Ark in 2024. I love teaching preschool and helping children grow. Young children are so curious about the world around them; they are natural scientists, and it is an honor to help them explore! I am thankful to be part of a faith-based program and the opportunity to share the love of Jesus every day! 

Favorite Bible verse: Philippians 4:8  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
