Country Fair for Missions

Beth Langland   -

Looking to Volunteer for Country Fair?

55th Annual Country Fair for Missions Saturday, November 12th, from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s. God has graciously blessed this large project year after year, enabling us to donate around $10,000 annually to missions and other worthy projects. We invite you to join us setting up, staffing the shops, and donating items. It’s a great way to meet members of our church family and community!

We’ll have an informational meeting Wednesday, October 5th at 7 PM in the Narthex to learn more about this project, ask questions, and meet people on the committee. Please join us!

Here is a list of the shops and donation ideas:

Attic Treasures accepts a variety of items and collectibles, but no furniture or clothing, please.
Bake Shop needs breads, pies, cakes, bars, and candies, dried apples.
Please mark what your items are, i.e., gluten free banana bread, but we will price the items.
Chow Mein Dinner needs help in the kitchen and the dining room.
Christmas Cookie Shop welcomes treats for holiday plates.
Coffee Shop serves rolls, juice, and coffee.
Country Fair Naturals welcomes handmade laundry, soaps, bath balms, and other personal care products from natural, eco-friendly ingredients.
Country Store needs pickles, jams, jellies, salsa, and garden produce.
Craft Shop is the place for handcrafted wood and metal items.
Gift Shop welcome quilts, knitted, crocheted, and sewn items, jewelry, note cards.
Holiday Shop needs a variety of ornaments and decorations.
Kid’s Korner keeps children busy while you shop.
Mexican Shop serves both tacos and Sloppy Joes.
Quiche and Muffin Brunch needs donations of muffins and help in the dining room.
Silent Auction welcomes theme baskets and special items to bid on.

We will assemble homemade candy containers Thursday, Nov. 10th at 5:00 p.m. in the Church Kitchen. If you can make a batch, please bring it in that day. And if you can help put the containers together, even better.

Set up for the fair will happen all day on Friday, November 11th, with a potluck lunch at noon.

On November 12th, we’ll need many hands before, during, and after.

We need your help, and we have fun, too!
